The FAROS ECG sensor provides a high-quality wireless ambulatory Holter ECG recording for a range of patient diagnostic applications.

This smart state-of-the-art sensor is compact and light weight, making it practical for many situations while achieving better patient acceptance:

This tiny sensor provides extraordinary ECG monitoring for cardiologists, cardiac nurses, paramedics and other health professionals.

HOME USE

The FAROS ECG sensor can be loaned or rented to at-risk patients to record ECG data in the event of palpitations or following an ischemic event.

For continuous monitoring, it can be used by the patient for periodic post-procedure follow-up. It has high clinical utility in detecting early post-ablation recurrence of atrial fibrillation.

The sensor is not intended for detecting or diagnosing myocardial ischemic events. When used in home monitoring it should not be used in a suspected emergency situation where it can delay seeking emergency services. It can be used to monitor ECG activity while waiting for emergency personnel.

The FAROS ECG sensor is ideal for use with a smart phone in detecting early-stage arrhythmia. The patient can be instructed to view the ECG tracing on the screen, to watch for characteristics that are important, and to disregard patterns that are normal. This reduces the number of false positives and false negatives.

Users are empowered to take charge of their own health and to administer self-care measures when appropriate. Any irregularities while at rest or during exercise can be recorded and transmitted to the cardiologist for interpretation.

The patient can monitor the ECG effects caused by cardiac-related drugs or by other drugs that can have an effect on the cardiac function.

CARDIOLOGY CLINIC

When given to patients arriving at a cardiology clinic for follow-up, the clinical database software with a Bluetooth-equipped computer produces a high-quality resting ECG test without any cable connections.
